Assistant VP of Professional Development
|
Support the VP of Professional Development in providing vision, and continuity for the professional development portfolio. Duties include actively participating in all portfolio functions which include overseeing the execution of professional development initiatives and attending committee meetings as directed by the VP of Professional Development, and in general, conducting PMI Portland business in a professional manner. This position is expected to learn many of the key professional development events and programs that provide quality education to the project management community with expressed desire to transition to the VP of Professional Development position (election by members at large is required).

Document Management System Project Manager, Operations Team

Collaborate with the VP Operations, Web Content Manager, Director of Technology and others within the PMI Portland Operations Portfolio to identify a provider and application for use to meet chapter needs for document management. The application will be made available to a variety of PMI Portland volunteers to ensure successful tracking, management and coordination of key Chapter documents in a manner that supports continuity within the Chapter and ensures accessibility.

Define Portland Chapter web, data, and transaction, services and processes. Work with other Operations team members, Board members and Chapter volunteers to identify opportunities to improve Portland Chapter technology and infrastructure. Investigate new features and technologies and collaborate with Operations team to propose initiatives. Be the Chapter technology consultant.

Quality Team Members (4), Membership Team
|
Join the PMI Portland Chapter Quality team that deploys member satisfaction surveys for the following Chapter functions and initiatives:
- Monthly dinner meeting
- Monthly educational presentation
- Monthly New Member meeting survey
Other optional areas of involvement can include:
- Assist / recommend quality metrics for other PMI Chapter events
- Assist with the deployment of Annual Membership survey
- Support of other initiatives and Chapter functions (TBD)

Manage and execute the 2011-2012 Annual Survey which monitors and reports member satisfaction for the PMI Portland Chapter activities and services. The Program Manager is responsible for the following Chapter functions:

Instructor, Certification Prep Course, Professional Development Team
|
Present PMI Knowledge Area during a PMP preparation course for the PMI Portland Chapter. This position reports to the Director of Certification and intersects with other program curriculum instructors to ensure best practices in instructional methods and technical training to prepare for the Project Management Professional Certification exam.

Develop presentation skills and network/relationship building skills and demonstrate credible PM knowledge while sharpening your technical training skills.

Mentoring Program Administrator, Outreach Team
|
Assist with administration of the Chapter Mentoring Program in two phases: 1. Session Administration: Collect electronic applications from mentors and mentees, help pair mentees to mentors, answer frequently asked questions, help with surveys 2. Recruitment/Promotion: Write newsletter articles, update Chapter website landing page for mentoring, work with Directors and Board members to create ideas for community integration, assist in attending Chapter meetings/roundtables to make announcements of the latest need or status of the program.
