Spring 2024 Virtual Workshop
Topic: There is nothing wrong with Being Agile Or is everything is wrong with Being Agile?
“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop
questioning.” This is a famous saying by world-renowned scientist Albert Einstein. The most
important lessons you get from this saying are LEARN, LIVE and HOPE. Never stop LEARNING,
apply those learnings, LIVE your life to the fullest and finally HOPE these learnings help you to
grow. The world would have been so much different if we stopped learning or we didn't grow.
The world would have been so much different if we would have never adopted agile. Right?
However, the real question is why one should adopt agile. Varun Anand learned this heartfelt
lesson personally when his ordinary + boring predictive project manager life forced him to
embrace agile. In this self-analyzing, personal talk, he talks about different agile techniques and
how you can adopt them in not just your professional life but also in your day-to-day life.
The Agile PM Roundtable is a collaboration between PMI and AgilePDX. This virtual forum seeks to build connections between the Agile and Project Management communities and strives to create an inclusive environment for people with open and curious minds. This Roundtable alternates between speakers on Agile-related topics to a Lean Coffee style format facilitated by experienced Agile PM's and instructors.
The Roundtable meets the second Thursday each month. Meetings start at 7a and end promptly at 8a, and the meeting room usually opens 15 minutes before the official meeting start time to allow you to hang out and talk with colleagues. Please register at https://www.meetup.com/agilepdx-user-group-portland-metro/events/296699412/ and dial in from your device with your favorite early morning brew. A Zoom URL will be provided to confirmed attendees. Feel free to post questions to this meetup prior to the event on the MeetUp site.
We welcome divergent opinions and experience reports. Bring your challenges for feedback and support from the group.
